SUBSTANCE: provided is an electrically heated aerosol-generating device for use with a consumable cartridge comprising a storage portion comprising an aerosol-forming substrate, wherein the storage part has a fluid-permeable inner surface surrounding the open-ended passage passing through the cartridge. Proposed device comprises housing with cavity to accommodate at least part of cartridge and heater assembly arranged in said cavity. Assembly heater comprises electrically conductive hollow part of rod connected to housing, and electric heater, arranged along rod hollow part and having at least one heating element for heating of aerosol forming substrate, cartridge arranged in cavity. Hollow part of the rod defines the air flow passage forming part of the air flow path through the device and is arranged to pass into the open end of the cartridge, arranged in cavity. Hollow part of rod comprises multiple holes and at least one heating element of electric heater, formed by one or several narrow areas of rod hollow part between adjacent holes.
EFFECT: disclosed is an aerosol-generating device with an inseparable heater assembly.
