METHOD OF CORRECTING POST-TRAUMATIC EDEMA OF ANKLE JOINT Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61N1/18 A61H11/00

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to correct post-traumatic swelling of the ankle joint in athletes. Kinesio tape is applied from the popliteal lymph nodes in the projection of the large veins and lymphatic vessels of the leg, moving to the ankle joint and ending in the area of the arch of the foot. The tapes are changed once every 3 days. The following is used: a pulsed low-frequency electrostatic field from the Khivamat apparatus with an oscillation frequency of 120–180 Hz, mode — ratio between the pulse duration and pause 1:2 for 6 minutes, then with an oscillation frequency of 14–30 Hz, mode — ratio between the pulse duration and pauses 1:2 for 6 minutes, then at a frequency of 85 Hz, mode — the ratio between the duration of the pulse and pause 1:2 for 4 minutes. The area is treated with an applicator electrode in a contact, labile manner with kinesio tape in the direction of the lymphatic flow daily, 10 procedures per course.

EFFECT: method allows to increase lymphovenous outflow, improve nutritional blood flow in the area of damaged tissues, accelerate the recovery of functional disorders, reduce the time of rehabilitation and return to training activities, through the combined use of lymphatic drainage kinesiotaping in combination with a pulsed low-frequency electrostatic field.
