FIELD: pyrotechnic ignition compositions.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in various means of ignition, including means of starting power plants using liquid hydrocarbon fuel. The pyrotechnic ignition composition for various means of ignition contains metal fuel, polytetrafluoroethylene and an oxygen-containing oxidizer. The composition contains aluminium-magnesium alloy powder with an aluminium content of 48 wt.% and magnesium of 52 wt.% as a metal fuel, potassium nitrate as an oxygen-containing oxidizer and additionally a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and trifluorochloroethylene as a fuel-binder. The ratio of components in the composition is as follows, wt.%: aluminium-magnesium alloy powder 50.0-60.0, polytetrafluoroethylene 7.0-13.0, potassium nitrate 30.0-35.0, copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and trifluorochloroethylene 2.0-3.0.

EFFECT: high flammability of the composition is ensured by providing high values of combustion temperature and heat of combustion, as well as low ignition energy and high flash point, which guarantees safety during its storage and operation, while simultaneously ensuring fast and reliable start-up of power plants using liquid hydrocarbon fuel.
