FIELD: measurement; non-destructive testing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-destructive testing and can be used for flaw detection of electroconductive objects. Essence: first measuring system 3 is intended for registration of eddy current signals Ux determined by the axial component of the magnetic field of the defect. First measuring system 3 is located above the plane of turns of exciting coil 1 on the side opposite to the working end face 6 of the converter, symmetrically relative to its centre in a plane perpendicular to opposite sides 1.1, 1.2 of turns of rectangular exciting coil 1. Second measuring system is intended for registration of eddy current signals Uy determined by tangential component of the defect magnetic field. Second measuring system consists of two series-oppositely connected identical inductance coils 4.1 and 4.2, arranged symmetrically relative to exciting coils 1, 2 with axial clearance along axis 8, located symmetrically relative to exciting coils 1, 2 and parallel to planes of coils of first measuring system 3.
