SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to teaching aids in medicine. Human skin simulator for practicing surgical skills comprises interconnected parallel layers, the inner layer of which is made of silicone, simulates muscle tissue and is used as a base, intermediate imitates subcutaneous fat, and coating imitates skin. Coating consists of two layers, the outer layer of which imitates the epidermis and is made of a two-component silicone based on platinum with a Shore hardness of 5–10 A, and the inner layer imitates the dermis and is made of silicone with a Shore hardness of 0–5 A. Intermediate layer imitating subcutaneous fat is made from a mixture of gelatine taken in amount of 5–10 wt.%, glycerine in amount of 85–90 wt.% and distilled water in amount of 3.5–5 %, amounting to 100 %. Inner layer imitating muscular tissue is made of silicone with hardness of 10 A by Shore. Disclosed is a method of making a human skin simulator for practicing surgical skills.
