SUBSTANCE: group of inventions concerns the prevention and treatment of thrombotic phenomena. The following is proposed: the use of Glu-plasminogen as an active compound for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of a thrombotic event in a patient, where the patient is at risk of developing or suffers from microthrombi having diameters of less than 1 mm, wherein the thrombotic event is microthrombi of blood vessels with a diameter of less than 0.5 mm. Also the following is provided: a method of preventing or treating a thrombotic event in a patient, wherein the patient is administered a sufficient amount of Glu-plasminogen and wherein the patient is at risk of developing or suffers from microthrombi having diameters less than 1 mm, wherein the thrombotic event is microthrombi of blood vessels having a diameter less than 0.5 mm.
EFFECT: use of Glu-plasminogen is effective for the prevention or treatment of the above thrombotic events in a patient.
