FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave engineering and can be used in constructing active and passive units of equipment, when matching waveguides with a load. Method of matching waveguides consists in that measuring the standing wave ratio of the waveguide and the power of the electromagnetic field at the output of the radiating slots and changing the angle of rotation of the short-circuited piston around its vertical axis by means of rods, reducing value of standing wave ratio, increasing the radiation power of the electromagnetic field and changing the directivity pattern of microwave radiation from the radiating slots of the waveguide.
EFFECT: high efficiency of energy transfer from the magnetron to the processed product, control of the radiation pattern with simultaneous simplification of the matching procedure.
