FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of plasticisers, specifically to a method of producing a diester-based material, comprising a step (S1) of preparing a crude mixture by mixing a dicarboxylic acid and C4-C10 monoatomic alcohol and a step (S2) of producing a mixture of products comprising a diester-based material and the produced water by reacting the crude mixture in the presence of a catalyst. At step (S2), condition C is used, during which 10 to 50 vol.% of inert gas is added at the initial stage of reaction and 50 to 90 vol.% of inert gas is added at the final stage of the reaction, based on the total amount introduced. Difference between the initial stage of the reaction and the final stage of the reaction in the above condition C is based on the control point of the reaction, which is a moment in time selected from moments in which the degree of conversion of the reaction ranges from 10% to 80%.

EFFECT: providing a method of producing diester-based material with improved reactivity and efficiency.
