SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a modified polymer based on a conjugated diene. Disclosed is a modified polymer based on a conjugated diene containing: a repeating unit derived from a conjugated diene-based monomer, a repeating unit derived from a compound of formula 1, where R1 is a hydrogen atom, R2 is a single bond or an unsubstituted alkylene group with 1–10 carbon atoms, R3 and R4 each independently represent an unsubstituted alkyl group with 1–10 carbon atoms, and a functional group obtained from a modifier, which is an alkoxysilane-based compound, wherein the following conditions (i) - (vii): (i) the molecular weight distribution curve obtained by gel permeation chromatography is unimodal; (ii) molecular weight distribution ranges from 2.0 to 5.0; (iii) weight-average molecular weight ranges from 100,000 to 2,000,000 g/mol; (iv) modification factor is from 70 to 99%; (v) Mooney stress relaxation factor measured at 100 °C ranges from 0.7 to 3.0; (vi) wide Mooney relaxation region (WMRR) is from 300 to 1500 Mooney units-seconds (EM-s) or less; and (vii) content of nitrogen atoms is from 100 to 1000 ppm based on weight of polymer; as well as a method of producing the disclosed modified polymer based on a conjugated diene and a rubber composition based thereon.
EFFECT: improved viscoelastic properties, particularly rolling resistance, as well as improved processability of the modified polymer based on a conjugated diene.
