FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: grinding processing of hollow balls in mechanical engineering and other industries. The method includes repeated short-term contacts with a rotating grinding wheel of hollow balls located on a rotating drive wheel. The grinding wheel is rotated in a horizontal plane parallel to the drive wheel, not coaxial with it, and is placed above the drive wheel with a gap. The balls are placed in cone-shaped vertical slots, with large diameters opening to the grinding wheel, and small diameters communicating with cylindrical holes in the drive wheel, through which process fluid or air is supplied under pressure during the processing of hollow balls.
EFFECT: quality of processing is improved, and the production capabilities of processing hollow balls are expanded.
