FIELD: processing of materials by cutting.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the processing of hollow balls with a free abrasive material in various industries. When implementing the method, an unbonded abrasive material is used as a granular abrasive material, which is placed in a cylindrical chamber. Processing is carried out in the process of independent rotation of a horizontally installed chamber and a cylindrical drum inserted into it, made with holes with a diameter less than the diameter of hollow balls located inside the drum. The rotation speed of the chamber is based on the condition of formation of a uniform compacted area of the abrasive material for processing the surfaces of the balls by microcutting.
EFFECT: increased capabilities of processing hollow balls, increased versatility in terms of the serial production of manufactured products and productivity.
