FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the parameters of a target’s movement when it is detected in spaced noise direction finding systems. The method allows finding the parameters of a target’s movement when it is detected in two spaced apart noise reduction systems. Arrays of target bearings and the magnitude of changes in bearings obtained in two receiving systems, triangulation estimates of the distance to the target of each of the receiving systems, as well as estimates of the own speeds and courses of the carriers of the receiving systems are used. The method, which uses information from two spaced apart observation systems, does not require long-term observation of the target, makes it possible to obtain estimates of the target's movement parameters in less observation time and increases the accuracy of estimating these parameters during temporary observation of the target.
EFFECT: determination of coordinates and parameters of target movement when a target is detected in spaced systems in noise direction finding mode without additional manoeuvre.
