FIELD: medicine; X-ray endovascular surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for digital subtraction angiography in treating peripheral atherosclerosis. Intra-arterial introduction of a radiopaque agent (RA) is carried out. X-ray image of blood vessels is obtained and the obtained image is processed. RA diluted with physiologic saline containing 0.9 wt.% NaCl is used in volume ratio of RA to physiologic saline from 1:9 to 2:8. RA contains 300 mg/ml of radiopaque substance in the form of iohexol. GE Healthcare angiographic equipment is used, in which, when obtaining an image, the angiography sensitivity is increased by setting the parameters: brightness "−2", sharpness "+6", contrast "+2", noise reduction in time "+1", noise reduction in space "+1", and when processing the image, the window level is set to "1,800" and the window width is "2,000".
EFFECT: method provides higher angiography safety and possibility of carrying out the procedure in treating patients with diabetes mellitus by reducing the volume of the applied RA and radiation exposure on the patient while maintaining image quality.
