FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely hernioplasty, and can be used for fixation of mesh graft in laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. Abdominal wall is prepared from the side of the abdominal cavity, for which the peritoneum is separated from the abdominal wall with laparoscopic scissors. Mesh graft is introduced into the abdominal cavity. All layers of the abdominal wall, the mesh graft, as well as the peritoneum are pierced from outside to inside with straight needle 48 mm long and 1.12 mm thick with half the length of an absorbable suture and inserted into the abdominal cavity. Straight needle with half the length of the suture is brought out 3–5 mm from the first puncture. Knot is tied on the skin without tension, thereby forming the first stitch. To fix the mesh graft, three stitches are made along its outer and inner edges, as well as in the centre of the graft.
EFFECT: proposed method is non-traumatic and enables to almost eliminate the presence of pain syndrome in the remote postoperative period.
