METHOD FOR PERINEAL WOUND RECONSTRUCTION AFTER RECTAL EXTIRPATION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery. On one side of the perineal wound, a cutaneous-subcutaneous fascial flap with width of 3–4 cm on a leg is cut out and de-epithelized, along the entire length of the wound, thereby forming a rhomboid shape of a perineal wound, immersed it into an aperture of a small pelvis. It is fixed with single sutures to remnants of anus levator muscle of the opposite side. On the opposite side of the wound, a triangular-shaped cutaneous-subcutaneous fascial flap on a leg is cut out at angle of 60–80 degrees, the leg equal to the width of the previously formed rhomboid-shaped wound, from the middle of the wound edge, wherein the sides of the triangular flap are equal to half the length of the edge of the rhomboid-shaped wound, flap is moved and additionally filled with wound cavity, with the condition of displacement of flap-triangle apex with rhomb-wound apex, and flap is fixed with separate interrupted sutures.

EFFECT: method enables closing the defect of the perineal wound after rectal extirpation, reducing the medical and social rehabilitation, improving the patient’s quality of life.
