FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing antimicrobial colloidal solutions with nanosized titanium (IV) oxides from titanium alkoxide precursors, involving hydrolysis of titanium tetraisopropoxide or titanium tetrabutoxide with water in the presence of a stabilizing nitric acid at a temperature in range of 20–80 °C, duration of hydrolysis is 10–130 minutes; while hydrolysis of titanium tetraisopropoxide used nitric acid in molar ratio Ti4+:HNO3 = 0.14–0.28:0.1–4, hydrolysis rate inhibitor used is isopropanol in volume ratio TiIPO:C3H8O = 6:1; during hydrolysis of titanium tetrabutoxide (TiBut) nitric acid is used in molar ratio Ti4+:HNO3 = 0.15–0.47:0.3–4, hydrolysis rate inhibitor is conjugated alcohol n-butanol in volume ratio TiBut:n-C4H9OH = 1–6:1.
EFFECT: invention widens the range of agents used as bactericidal agents against pathogenic and opportunistic bacteria.
