FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry. Mixture of the starting components is taken in a ratio of, wt.%: ammonium paramolybdate tetrahydrate:poly(sodium 4-styrene sulphonate) (in conversion to 20% aqueous solution) equal to 1.0:(0.5–1.0). Then the mixture is subjected to hydrothermal treatment at 150–180 °C and pressure of 6–16 bar for 16–24 hours. Obtained product is filtered, washed and dried.
EFFECT: disclosed method of producing molybdenum trioxide of hexagonal system h-MoO3 with spherical shape of nanosized particles is technological.
