FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: for preparation of a molybdenum/carbon trioxide composite of MoO3/C composition, molybdenum powder is added to hydrogen peroxide in the ratio of (1÷2):(30÷32), respectively, and hydrothermal treatment is performed in the presence of a carbon-containing reagent - formic acid - in an amount sufficient to establish 1≤pH≤3. Hydrothermal thermal treatment is carried out by microwave radiation with a power of 17-19 W at a pressure of 10-12 bar with constant stirring at a speed of 100-300 rpm. The product obtained is filtered, washed and dried.
EFFECT: method is simple and technological, the use of harmful or poisonous ingredients is excluded, the component particles in the resulting composite are evenly distributed, which excludes their agglomeration and improves the target product quality.
