SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing dry extracts of medicinal plants used as a feed additive for farm animals and poultry. The method involves grinding dried sea buckthorn fruits, wetting them in a water-ethanol solution, and first sequentially carrying out a two-stage water-ethanol extraction at intense boiling under vacuum. Then extraction is carried out with distilled water, the resulting extracts are combined and concentrated, and the thick extract is dried.
EFFECT: use of the invention will allow to optimize the modes of water-ethanol extraction and drying, as well as increase the yield of the target product and its characteristics.
