SUBSTANCE: production of fluorinated polymers. Options of the method for producing a fluorinated polymer are proposed, where in the first option, the production of a fluorinated polymer occurs by polymerization of one fluorinated monomer selected from tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene , in an aqueous medium in the presence of a first polymer having units based on the compound represented by the following formula (1), and in the second option by polymerizing the compound represented by the following formula (1) in an aqueous medium to obtain an aqueous medium in which the first polymer is present, followed by polymerizing one fluorinated monomer selected from tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene, in an aqueous medium in which the first polymer is present, to obtain a fluorinated polymer, where the compound represented by formula (1) CXY=CR¹-LR², where X and Y represent a hydrogen atom, R¹ represents a C_1-3 alkyl group, L represents -CO-O-* provided that * denotes the bonding position with R² and R² represents a cyclohexyl group, a phenyl group, a linear C_1-4 alkyl group or a linear C_2-5 alkyl group having an ether oxygen atom at carbon-to-carbon bond.

EFFECT: implementation of the purpose of the claimed method, which does not require an emulsifier, which ensures a low burden on the environment.
