FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to surgery and anaesthesiology-resuscitation, and concerns a method for prediction of an individual risk of developing pancreatogenic encephalopathy (PEP) in patients with acute alcohol-alimentary pancreatitis (AAPN). Presence of AAPN is determined in the patient, as well as on the first day of admission to the patient, the bilirubin level, the creatinine level, then the patient's condition is assessed by SOFA scale; as well as on the third day of inpatient treatment, creatinine level, urea level are determined, patient's condition is assessed by SOFA scale. Further, the risk of developing pancreatogenic encephalopathy on the first and third days is calculated by formulas. If the p value exceeds 15.5% on the first day of admission, a high risk of developing PEP is predicted in the patients with acute AAPN. If p exceeds 20.5% on the third day of inpatient treatment, a high risk of developing PEP is predicted in patients with acute AAPN.
EFFECT: invention enables to detect patients with acute alcohol-alimentary pancreatitis, having a high risk of pancreatogenic encephalopathy by determining an individual integral diagnostic risk of PEP (p).
