FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: medical device for breast reconstruction is designed to be placed between the skin and the pectoralis major muscle with the possibility of being sutured to the pectoralis major muscle. The device includes a container formed by a hemisphere in the shape of a hollow dome, the internal shape of which complements the outer surface of the breast prosthesis placed inside the dome, and a flat extension. It has an open configuration in which the hemisphere is mated to the flat appendage continuously with a part of the base, and the flat appendage is oriented outward relative to the said part of the base of the hemisphere, and a closed configuration in which the appendage is superimposed on the hemisphere to form a container with a flat base, the outer surface of the hemisphere and the outer surface of the flat process form the container body, the perimeter of the flat process is sewn with the perimeter of the base of the hemisphere, and the container body has a flat base lying in the plane of connection of the process with the hemisphere.
EFFECT: provision of breast reconstruction after mastectomy without compromising the functioning of the pectoral muscle.
