SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining the parameters of the upper jaw in three-dimensional space. The method involves obtaining X-ray images of the patient’s head, after which diagnostic points are applied to the image according to their anatomical location and the obtained data is deciphered using software, then the individual values of the patient’s parameters are compared with the norm, deviations are identified, and taking into account parameters that have deviations from standards, a diagnosis is established and a treatment plan is drawn up. At the end of the course of treatment, repeated X-ray examinations are performed, the parameters are studied again and compared with the initial values, the dynamics of changes in parameters are assessed and, based on this, a forecast is made about the duration of treatment or, if the changes in parameters are normalized, a conclusion is drawn about the results of treatment. Using the software, the following points N, Se, A, OrD, OrS, PoD, PoS, ANS, PNS, SPM, FPMID, FPMIS are determined manually; then, using mathematical software algorithms, the following planes are completed: PSMax, PN, FHD, FHS, points: FPMID', FPMIS', А', PNS'; segments: NSe, FPMIS' А', FPMID' А', FPMID' FPMIS', ANS PNS, A' PNS', FPMIS' PNS', FPMID' PNS. Measurements are made in three-dimensional space on a CBCT scan of the patient's head, the norm for the length of the upper jaw along the midpalatal suture A' PNS' calculated using the formula NSe*0.7. The dimensions of the upper jaw on the right and left are compared with the length of the upper jaw along the midpalatal suture and with each other. Conclusions are drawn about the length of the upper jaw, as well as the symmetry of the bone structures of this area. It is possible to reduce the probability of error in determining anatomical landmarks and calculating the length of the upper jaw, as well as assessing the symmetry of the upper jaw.
