FIELD: adsorption technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for water treatment of process effluents from enterprises in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. A method for purifying aqueous solutions from dimethylamine involves the use of a sorbent. Zeolite ZSM-5 is used as a sorbent, which is washed with distilled water and treated for 24 hours with a solution of caprolactam with a concentration of 0.5% at a ratio of zeolite mass in grams to solution volume in cm3 of 1:100. Next, the sorbent is heated for 2 hours at a temperature of 500°C in the air atmosphere.
EFFECT: ensured increase in the sorption capacity for dimethylamine.
