FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an aqueous composition of urea with a given concentration of urea. Proposed method comprises steps of: a) reacting CO2 and NH3 in a synthesis zone to form a crude mixture of urea; b) separating the crude mixture of urea into a first aqueous urea solution and a process condensate using a separation zone; c) passing process condensate (6) through first stripper (7) to obtain a first partially purified stream; d) passing at least a portion of the first partially purified stream through the hydrolyser to obtain a second partially purified stream; e) passing a second partially purified stream through a second stripper to obtain a stream of purified water; f) optionally concentrating the first aqueous urea solution in a pre-evaporator to obtain a concentrated second aqueous urea solution; g) mixing the first aqueous urea solution and/or the second concentrated aqueous urea solution with at least a portion of the first partially purified stream and at least part of the stream of purified water in such a ratio as to obtain the desired aqueous urea composition with a given concentration of urea. Invention also relates to a process condensate treatment plant for implementing a method of producing an aqueous composition of urea with a given concentration and to a plant for the production of urea, which includes such a plant for processing a process condensate.
EFFECT: invention provides an energy-efficient method of producing urea solution and also provides greater flexibility of the urea production process and/or production plant.
