FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metrology. Device is designed to measure sound insulation properties of materials with thickness from 50 to 200 mm. Device for measuring sound insulation of panels from airborne noise consists of two fixed noise-insulated chambers, in the upper chamber the noise insulation is made with the help of polymer material – Shumoplast, the lower chamber is noise-insulated with quartz sand, in each chamber there is a non-plasticised PVC pipe. Between two chambers using a frame and soundproof inserts, a test sample is installed. Sound level meter is installed in the upper chamber, and a sound source is located in the lower chamber. In the upper part of the noise-insulating chamber there are guides, along which the non-plasticised PVC pipe moves.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities of installation for measurement of sound insulation of building panels with thickness from 50 to 200 mm.
