SUBSTANCE: guillotine-type cross-cutting device contains a pneumatic cylinder, linear bearings, guides, fastening, a housing, a toothed blade, a fitting for supplying compressed air, and an electromagnetic valve. When compressed air is supplied to the device through the upper fitting, the pneumatic cylinder rod, where the toothed blade holder is screwed, moves down relative to the body screwed with the mount, cutting through the packaging with the toothed blade. Then, upon receiving a signal from a logical element located in the equipment of the packaging machine, the solenoid valve switches compressed air supply to the fitting to return the toothed blade to its original position.
EFFECT: improved reliability of a guillotine-type cross-cutting device and increased productivity are achieved.
