FIELD: optical measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention related to devices for measuring angular velocity using gyroscopic effects and methods for their operation. An angular velocity sensor without a modulator, containing a radiation source, an optical waveguide sensitive to the Sagnac effect, an interference unit, a processing unit, characterized in that the interference unit consists of four 1×2 optical dividers, having one input, two outputs, input of the first optical divider 1×2 and the input of the second optical divider 1×2 are connected, respectively, to the input and output of an optical waveguide sensitive to the Sagnac effect, the first output of the first optical divider 1×2 and the second output of the second optical divider 1×2 are connected, respectively, to the second and the first output of the fourth optical divider 1×2, and the second output of the first divider 1×2 and the first output of the second optical divider 1×2 are connected, respectively, to the second and first output of the third optical divider 1×2, the fourth optical divider 1×2 having one input and two outputs, has electrodes.
