FIELD: optical measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical measurements, to an interferometric measuring device based on fibre-optic sensitive elements for measuring angular velocity using the Sagnac effect. Hybrid angular velocity sensor comprises a radiation source, a processing unit, a photodetector, a fibre-optic Sagnac interferometer as part of an interference unit, optical waveguide and optical ring resonator, sensitive to Sagnac effect, three optical dividers 1x2, having one input and two outputs. Disclosed angular velocity sensor additionally includes an optical waveguide which is made in the form of an additional fibre-optic circuit.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring angular velocity.
