FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing polysulphone used in production of super-structural polymer materials for high-tech industries — aerospace, radio-electronic, automotive, electrical engineering, etc. Method involves nucleophilic polycondensation of equimolecular amounts of bisphenol-A and dichlorodiphenylsulphone at the boiling point of the solvent — dimethylacetamide in an inert atmosphere in the presence of anhydrous potassium carbonate with holding at said temperature for the time required to obtain a polymer with the required viscosity, followed by filtration of the reaction mixture, precipitation from the filtrate and purification of the end product. Potassium carbonate, preliminarily heat-treated at 450±5 °C is introduced at temperature of 65±5 °C into a reaction mixture additionally containing a type A zeolite. Before filtration, the reaction mixture is diluted with a solvent to concentration of 22±2% and processed at 115±5 °C oxalic acid in amount of 0.3–0.5 moles per mole of diphenylolpropane, polymer deposition is carried out from water, purification is carried out by multiple washing with hot water. Amount of type A zeolite is 0.3–1.0 wt.%. in terms of the amount of dry starting reagents.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain polysulphone of high purity, and is also environmentally and cost-effective.
