SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of coffee products. Described is a tablet for the preparation of coffee beverages, which is characterized by the volume and amount of compressed ground coffee, has lateral cross-section with width (Dt) and symmetrical shape relative to central longitudinal axis. At that, it has upward facing section (11), downward facing section (12), intermediate section (13), which passes between said upward and downward facing sections (11, 12), and downward facing section (12) includes lower cavity (B), which passes in the center and has a curved surface, perimeter region of said lower cavity (B) is a portion extending along the transverse plane to the outer perimeter region of downward-facing portion (12), and the characteristic size of the lower cavity (B) is from 40% to 95% of the corresponding characteristic size, measured in the same plane along the edges of the perimeter of the downward-facing surface of downward-facing section (12) next to intermediate section (13). Invention also discloses a beverage preparation system comprising said pressed coffee tablet.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved structural stability of the tablet and, consequently, optimizes the amount of material used.
