FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cardiovascular surgery. Distal edge of the invaginated aortic prosthesis is fixed with a lavsan suture to the DeBakey tunneller, followed by antegrade implantation of the aortic prosthesis into the descending aorta to the specified depth.
EFFECT: method enables providing fast and adequate positioning of the aortic prosthesis in the descending aorta for a given length during the aortic arch prosthesis using the elephant trunk technique, as well as to exclude excessive traumatisation of the aortic wall during implantation of the aortic prosthesis in the descending aorta and to prevent kinking of the aortic prosthesis in the descending aorta.
