FIELD: medicine; surgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess recovery of excretory function of liver after antegrade decompression of bile passages in obstructive jaundice. Bile is used as a biological medium for analysis. Samples are examined four times: intraoperatively from a puncture needle and three times in the early postoperative period on 3rd, 7th, 10th day from a drainage catheter. Raman spectra are analyzed in the range of wave numbers from 1,000 to 1,800 cm⁻¹ and recorded in to each sample, Raman spectra, corresponding to bilirubin in bands 1,255–1,260 and 1,606–1,620 cm⁻¹. When determining amplitude of signal intensity in analyzed sample in bands 1,255–1,260 and 1,606–1,620 cm⁻¹, equal to level of reference values 1,000–2,000 relative units, characterizing bilirubin peaks in patients without obstructive jaundice, recovery of excretory function of liver is determined.

EFFECT: method enables dynamic assessment of the functional state of the liver in the patients with obstructive jaundice after the primary stage of the surgical management by conducting a study of bile by Raman spectroscopy.
