METHOD OF EXTERNAL-INTERNAL DRAINAGE OF BILE DUCTS IN PATIENTS WITH OBSTRUCTIVE JAUNDICE CAUSED BY A PROXIMAL BLOCK OF BILE DUCTS, WITHOUT BRINGING DOWN THE DRAINAGE INTO THE DUODENUM Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/02

Abstract RU 2718276 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to X-ray endobiliary surgery, and can be used in transcutaneous transhepatic bile duct drainage in patients with obstructive jaundice caused by a proximal block of bile ducts. Method involves transcutaneous transhepatic cholangiostomy, the bile duct system drainage along the installed catheter. Drainage catheter is installed distally to block level into common bile duct without its reduction into duodenum.

EFFECT: method provides a reduced rate of developing cholangitis in external-internal drainage of bile ducts by excluding injuries of Oddi's sphincter and preventing casting of intestinal contents and ascending infection into bile ducts.
