FIELD: tests; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for aerodynamic tests, namely to instruments on which a circular motion of the investigated body is carried out. Device includes a drive, a shaft and a rotating double-arm beam with scales and attachment points of the investigated object and reference aerodynamic resistance at the ends. Beam is made elastically deformable, unit of reference resistance fixation is equipped with electric drive of its position control. On the axis of the rotor shaft perpendicular to the elastically deformable beam, scales are fixed, onto which light beams of laser pointers are projected, which are fixed at the ends of the beam. It also includes a stroboscope emitter installed near the housing of the upper support bearing of the rotor, which is made with the possibility of reading the readings of the scales during the rotation of the rotor. Aerodynamic resistance of the investigated object is determined by comparing the deformation of the part of the beam carrying the object under study with the deformation of the part of the beam carrying the reference body.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining drag coefficients of the tested aerodynamic bodies with simultaneous reduction of structural complexity.
