FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be used for diagnosis of ischemic optic neuropathy (ION). Optical coherence tomography-angiography in Angio Disk mode of peripapillary zone of retina is performed, and density of vessels and density of blood flow is determined. If the vascular density is less than 23.0% and the blood flow density is less than 39.3%, ION is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides determining an adequate management approach and an algorithm for treating the detected pathology by determining the signs of ION in the early period from the onset of the disease.
