What is presented is a method for prediction of the risk of developing gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer on the basis of molecular genetic testing. Method involves DNA extraction from peripheral venous blood leukocytes and analysis of polymorphic loci rs2294008 PSCA and rs6136 SELP. High risk of gastric and duodenal ulcer development predicts detection of combination of genotypes rs2294008 PSCA CC × rs6136 SELP AA in unrelated patients, natives of the Central Black Earth Region of the Russian Federation and living in the Belgorod region.

EFFECT: invention provides obtaining new criteria for assessing the risk of developing gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in individuals of Russian nationality based on data on a combination of genotypes rs2294008 PSCA CC × rs6136 SELP AA.
