FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, in particular to a method for predicting the risk of developing H. pylori-positive gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. Method is intended for prediction of risk in individuals of Russian nationality, natives of the Central Black Earth region of the Russian Federation and is based on molecular genetic testing. Method involves sampling peripheral venous blood and extracting DNA from peripheral venous blood leukocytes. Analysis of polymorphic loci rs505922 ABO, rs8176720 ABO, rs649129 ABO/RF00019 predicts a high risk of developing H. pylori-positive peptic ulcer when detecting a combination of polymorphic loci rs505922 (ABO) CC, rs8176720 (ABO) CC, rs649129 (ABO/RF00019) CC.
EFFECT: present invention provides criteria for assessing the risk of developing Helicobacter pylori-positive gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in individuals of Russian nationality, who are natives of the Central Black Earth region of the Russian Federation, based on data on combination of polymorphic loci rs505922 CC (ABO) × rs8176720 (ABO) CC × rs649129 (ABO/RF00019) CC.
