METHOD FOR TRANSURETHRAL ENDOSCOPIC TREATMENT OF URETER ECTOPIA IN DOGS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/94 A61B18/20 A61D99/00

Abstract RU 2816537 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to veterinary medicine. Animal is placed on an operating table, general anaesthesia is performed, cystoscopy is performed, and the location of the ectopic ureter is determined. Coloured catheter is inserted through the urethra into the ectopic ureter; the catheter is picked up to pass into the orifice of the ectopic ureter. Endoscopically observing the movement of the catheter from the inner side of the bladder, the place of passage of the catheter is determined from the reaction of soft tissues to the movement of the catheter. Using endoscopic instrumentation, using a diode laser, a zone of the future new ureteral orifice is marked on the wall of the bladder, bladder wall perforation is formed by passing into an ectopic ureter lumen, perforation is performed with application of coagulation and soft tissues of mucous, submucous layer are bitten out with an endoscopic clamp. Ectopic ureter is penetrated by the colour of the catheter at the inlet of the perforation. Guide-mandren is inserted into the ureter through the urethra and the bladder, the formed new ureteral orifice is dilated, for this purpose a dilator is delivered along the guide-mandren, further, an ectopic ureter is obliterated using a monopolar electrode or a diode laser.

EFFECT: method allows to eliminate urinary incontinence in dogs with ectopia of ureter orifices, which allows reducing injuries, avoiding external cosmetic defects, reducing the need for analgesic preparations and reducing the length of postoperative rehabilitation.
