FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, specifically to a method of transmitting discrete information by broadband wireless communication systems and can be used in operation of multichannel systems with given modulation parameters and signal coding, designed to increase the volume of the alphabet of transmitted symbols using orthogonal signals, which provides high noise immunity. Method of transmitting discrete information using broadband signals includes generating a frequency-modulated signal on the transmitting side, encoding each transmitted character of the alphabet ai with an individual different parameter value μi of the time scale of the simulation function of the carrier oscillation, finding on the receiving side the values of the sums of squares of cross-correlation functions Y (μi,τ) of the input signal with quadrature standards of frequency-modulated signals, characterized by given parameters μi, and assigning to the received symbol the value ai for which the value of the sum of squares of cross-correlation signal processing Y (μi,τ) turned out to be maximum.

EFFECT: artificial complication of the signal and an increase in the volume of orthogonal signals by changing the Doppler parameter of the signal on the transmitting side, taking into account the corresponding change introduced into the quadrature standards of signals on the receiving side, as a result of which the signal-to-noise ratio at the output of the matched filter increases in proportion to the square root of the basic signal value.
