FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of transmitting discrete information using broadband signals includes generating a frequency-modulated carrier wave at the transmitting side, transmitting a modulated signal through a communication line, finding a correlation function of a signal at the receiving side and making a decision on the value of the transmitted symbol based on a comparative analysis of values of correlation functions calculated for various signal parameters previously agreed by subscribers of the communication session. Signal of type is used as carrier oscillation, and on the receiving side, finding the values of the sums of squares of the cross-correlation functions Y(aij) of the input signal with quadrature standards of frequency-modulated signals, characterized by given parameters, and assigning to the received signal the value aij for which the value of the sum of squares of cross-correlation signal processing Y(ei, kj) is maximum.
EFFECT: high noise immunity due to increased volume of the alphabet of symbols of transmitted multiplicative signals.
