FIELD: ceramics.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method of producing ceramics based on bismuth ferrite with ferroelectromagnetic properties and a maximum fraction of the stoichiometric phase BiFeO3 from degraded materials in form of powders after synthesis and ceramics after sintering, containing accompanying phases Bi25FeO39, Bi2Fe4O9, resulting from decomposition of BiFeO3. Method of producing stoichiometric bismuth ferrite ceramics involves mixing micropowder of said degraded materials with 50–60 wt.% of nanopowder with particle size ≤ 50 nm, obtained by burning organic nitrate precursors, pressing at a pressure greater than or equal to 100 MPa, heating the compact to temperature of 600 °C for 10 hours and sintering at this temperature for 60 minutes.

EFFECT: obtaining bismuth ferrite ceramics with high content of stoichiometric composition.
