FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of defining a beam by default. Defining a default beam corresponding to a first control resource set (CORESET) transmitting downlink control information (DCI) based on a predetermined rule, wherein the maximum number of transmission configuration indication (TCI) states supported by the first CORESET is 2, wherein the entire plurality of TCI states supported by the first CORESET is used to transmit a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in the first CORESET. Default beam is used to transmit at least one of the following: physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), and reference signals, wherein the beam by default includes one or more TCI states from the TCI states supported by the first CORESET.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining the default beam for CORESET corresponding to multiple TCI states, which increases reliability of transmitting multiple transmit and receive points (TRP) data.
