FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication and is intended for determining a base beam. Following is provided: the terminal receives the first DCI information carried by the first PDCCH; and upon establishing the impossibility of determining the transmitting beam based on the first DCI information, the terminal determines the base beam based on one or more TCI states corresponding to the second PDCCH. Therefore, even if the DCI information does not indicate the transmitting beam, terminal can determine a base beam in order to communicate with a network device based on the base beam, which increases the probability of successful communication.
EFFECT: possibility of a terminal to determine a transmitting beam, when downlink control information (DCI) carried by a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) from a network device does not include a status indication field with a transmission configuration indicator (TCI).
