SUBSTANCE: method for treating fruits on trees during the growing season to reduce fruit shedding with a liquid suspension oil composition containing 1-methylcyclopropene in the form of a complex with α-cyclodextrin, includes the preparation of a tank mixture by dispersing a liquid suspension oil composition in water and subsequent treatment of fruits on trees with the resulting tank mixture by spraying with a flow rate over the liquid suspension oil composition containing 1-methylcyclopropene in the form of a complex with α-cyclodextrin, from 1 to 10 kg per 1 hectare of plantings 8-15 days before the onset of the ripeness stage. The tank mixture is prepared immediately before spraying by stirring in two stages, in the first of which an aqueous solution of a drug that reduces the surface tension of water is prepared by stirring for 3-10 minutes, selected from the range: polyester of modified trisiloxane, ethoxylate of higher alcohols, then in the second stage is introduced into this solution, while stirring, is a liquid suspension oil composition containing 1-methylcyclopropene in the form of a complex with α-cyclodextrin, with the following content of initial components, wt.%: drug that reduces the surface tension of water - 0.01-0.5; liquid suspension oil composition containing 1-methylcyclopropene in the form of a complex with α-cyclodextrin - 0.1-5.0; water - balance.

EFFECT: reduction in fruit shedding during the pre-harvest and harvest periods, extended time period for harvesting, and ability to use the standard sprayers without reducing their productivity.
