FIELD: transportation, packing and storage.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sealed and heat-insulating tanks for storage and/or transportation of liquid at very low temperature or liquefied gas, such as tanks for transportation/storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at temperature of approximately −162 °C or for transportation/storage of liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LHG), for example, at temperature between −50 °C and 0 °C. Method of making the well of the dome of the heat insulation unit of a sealed and heat-insulating tank consists in attaching a plurality of metal sheets (11) to each other by welding and includes stage (21) of metal sheets bending to cylindrical or partially cylindrical shape so as to form cylinder (14) from metal sheet. Then final stage (17) of butt welding of metal sheets (11) forming cylinder (14) from metal sheet to produce dome shaft (12). Method includes prior to step (21) of metal sheets (11) bending to cylindrical or partially cylindrical shape, initial step (13) of butt welding of flat or pseudo-flat metal sheets (11) so that to connect together all metal sheets (11) making up shaft (12) of the dome.
EFFECT: implementation of the purpose is provided.
