FIELD: medicine; neuropathology.
SUBSTANCE: sampling of mature peripheral immune cells is performed in zebrafish with closed traumatic brain injury (TBI). Then cells are exposed in vitro to caffeine in active concentrations of 150–450 mcg/ml for 20–25 minutes. Caffeine is washed off and the washed cells are introduced into the bloodstream of zebrafish with a closed traumatic brain injury in dose of 80×103 cells per individual.
EFFECT: method enables to exclude the direct introduction into the animal’s body of caffeine, which affects all organs and tissues of the body, accelerate recovery processes after TBI by treating peripheral mature immune cells with caffeine in vitro and intravenous introduction of caffeine-modulated syngeneic immune cells.
