FIELD: pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel artificial peptide PR5 containing fragments of natural peptides PR-39 and ChBac5, as well as a fragment of collagen glyproline. Peptide has an amino acid sequence Arg-Arg-Arg-Pro-Pro-Ile-Pro-Arg-Pro-Pro-Ile-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro (SEQ ID NO: 1) and is intended for treatment of consequences of craniocerebral injury. Intranasal administration to laboratory animals with craniocerebral injury, disclosed peptide caused faster and more pronounced expression of proteins S100A12, NGF and BDNF, which stimulate proliferation and differentiation of neurons and growth of neurites in the hypothalamus of the brain than other peptides studied.
EFFECT: as a result of the introduction of the PR5 peptide, an earlier recovery of splenocyte cytotoxicity and their ability to proliferation occurred, improved indicators of orientation-exploratory reaction and motor activity of animals after craniocerebral injury in comparison with other investigated peptides.
