FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. In the first variant, for surgical correction of optical defects in patients with oculocutaneous albinism, cataract or transparent lens removal through the main incision, intraocular lens (IOL) and artificial iris implantation are performed. In this case, the first stage is phacoemulsification of a cataract or a transparent lens with implantation of an IOL. Further, without expanding the main incision, using the injection technique, a round artificial iris with a central hole with a diameter of 3.2 mm is implanted over the IOL behind the own iris into the capsular bag. In the second variant, for surgical correction of optical defects in patients with oculocutaneous albinism in patients with pseudophakia, a round artificial iris with a central hole 3.2 mm in diameter is implanted over the IOL behind the own iris into the capsular bag without expanding the main incision.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides reduction of photophobia and lacrimation, improvement of quality and visual acuity, significant cosmetic result, reduction of duration of surgical intervention and reduction of complexity of intraocular interventions, as well as reduction of surgical access.
