Method comprises obtaining P real-valued signals; performing at least number-theoretic transformation (NTT) processing for the P real-valued signals to obtain P first real-valued signals in the transform domain; performing at least reconstruction of clock frequency for P first real-valued signals in conversion domain to obtain P second real-valued signals in conversion domain; performing at least polarization compensation and inverse number-theoretic transformation (INTT) processing for P second real-valued signals in the transformation domain to obtain m complex-valued signals X in the time domain and m complex-valued signals Y in the time domain, wherein performing at least polarization compensation and inverse number-theoretic transformation (INTT) processing for the P second real-valued signals in the transformation domain includes sequential execution of polarization compensation processing and INTT processing for P second real-valued signals in conversion domain or sequentially performing INTT processing and polarization compensation processing for P second real-valued signals in transformation domain; and performing phase recovery and decoding of m complex-valued signals in time domain and m complex-valued signals Y in time domain to obtain bit signals, wherein m and P are natural numbers, wherein polarization compensation includes polarization demultiplexing and distortion equalization.
